Michiana's Most Charming Spots for a Valentine's Day Meal | Cressy & Everett

So Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and you still haven't made plans. Our real estate agents suggest you set the stage for romance with dinner at one of these delightful restaurants near South Bend homes for sale and St. Joseph homes for sale.

  • Bistro on the Boulevard - 521 Lake Blvd., St. Joseph, MI 49085
    Fresh, locally sourced ingredients elevate the modern American cuisine at Bistro on the Boulevard to a new level. The creative menu features traditional items such as sea bass and steak frites, as well as elk, antelope, and other more exotic choices. Treat your sweetheart to a romantic meal of foie gras, chateaubriand for two, and strawberry crème brûlée, which are among the additions for the 2/14 and 2/15 menu. Hours are 4 - 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 4 - 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

  • 221 Main - 221 Main St., St. Joseph, MI 49085
    Enjoy a classic steakhouse with contemporary appeal when you dine at 221 Main. Of course, steaks are the main event here, with top-quality ribeye, sirloin, and filet mignon, along with accompaniments and side dishes. If you prefer something different, 221 Main also has a generous selection of seafood and specialty dishes like chicken Marsala and their signature parmesan-encrusted whitefish. Dinner is served Thursday through Sunday from 5 - 9 p.m. 

  • Tosi's - 4337 Ridge Road, Stevensville, MI 49127
    There's plenty of amore in the air at Tosi's. Italian food is considered by many to be the most romantic of cuisines, and there's a lot to love about the fresh, natural flavors of the Tosi family's homemade pasta and sauces. Their Valentine's Day menu, available on 2/14 and 2/15, includes prawn scampi, Diana mafaldine pasta, and champagne mousse. Tosi's opens for dinner at 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.

  • Café Navarre - 101 N. Michigan St., South Bend, IN 46601
    The historic building and Old World-style architecture of Café Navarre combine to create a warm and elegant ambiance. Executive Chef Cainan Edwards has crafted a menu of modern American cuisine enhanced with European influences. Sample a variety of flavors by sharing arancini, crab cake Rangoon, and other tasty small plates. Watch their Facebook page for information about special dishes that will be added to celebrate Valentine's Day. Hours are 4 - 9:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 4 - 10 p.m. Thursday, 4 - 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 4 - 9 p.m. Sunday.

  • LaSalle Grill - 115 W. Colfax Ave., South Bend, IN 46601
    At LaSalle Grill, everything from the gourmet menu to the attentive waitstaff is designed to achieve their goal of "casual sophistication." Housed in the oldest commercial building in South Bend, LaSalle Grill has been an AAA Four Diamond restaurant since 1996, longer than any other restaurant in Indiana. A live hardwood-fired grill enhances the flavor of steak, salmon, lamb, and other entrees. LaSalle Grill is open Tuesday through Thursday from 5 - 9:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4 - 10 p.m.

  • Parisi's Ristorante Italiano - 1412 South Bend Ave., South Bend, IN 46617
    Parisi's Ristorante Italiano may be just down the street from the Irish, but they display their Italian roots with pride. The third generation of the Parisi family is serving traditional Italian favorites such as osso buco, chicken Parmigiana, and spaghetti carbonara. Be sure to save room for some luscious cannolis. Hours are 4 - 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 4 - 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 4 - 9 p.m. Sunday.
